Agence France-Presse seeks U.S. stringers

Agence France-Presse, a worldwide news wire service, seeks stringers in San Francisco and Hawaii.

"We’re looking for motivated reporters who can work quickly, write cleanly and get to the heart of the story," the ad says. "You have to be a versatile all-rounder who is comfortable covering everything from plane crashes or natural disasters to news features that would be of interest to an international audience."

Send a resume and five clips to West Coast Bureau Chief Rob Woollard at robert.woollard@afp.com.

Agence France-Presse is the world's oldest newswire with journalists in 165 countries. The news service publishes stories worldwide in English, French, Spanish, German, Portuguese, Arabic, Russia, Japanese and Chinese. Its stories and photos reach millions of people every day through tens of thousands of newspaper, radio, and television and magazine clients.
