The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of professional experience. The News Reporter needs to have the following skill sets:
1. Prior television news experience
2. Strong Technical skills -- must be able to shoot and edit (FCP) own work
3. Strong writing skills
4. Story telling skills
5. Organization and task management
6. Good presentation both on and off the camera

Fellowship for young U.S. and Austrian journalists

U.S. and Austrian journalists ages 21-38 can apply for a 7-week all-expenses paid fellowship which gives up to 6 journalists an opportunity to report from and travel in each other's countries.

The U.S.-Austrian Journalism Exchange Fellowships includes international and domestic travel expenses, living expenses, insurance costs, transportation allowances and a stipend.

After receiving a joint orientation session in Washington, D.C, the American fellows travel to Vienna and the Austrian journalists begin their fellowship in Florida at the GOP National Convention to report for their home media organizations. For six weeks, fellows will work at host newspapers, magazines, and radio and television stations under the supervision of an editor. The program ends with all fellows reuniting in Vienna for a reception and final program evaluation.

Print, broadcast and freelance journalists are eligible, provided they have at least three years of experience and a strong interest in U.S.‑European affairs. Foreign language proficiency is not required, but is preferred.

BBC offering journalism apprenticeships in Scotland

The BBC seeks applicants for its 2013 apprenticeship program based in Glasgow.

The apprentices will receive $14,397 (or UK£9,000) to work with the BBC, STV and independent production companies for one year making radio, TV and online content for all kinds of output and programs.

Duties include administrative support and office duties, as well essential tasks like taking tapes and equipment from one location to another. Possible tasks include booking travel, arranging meetings, helping to make content and more.

Paid summer internship @ Entertainment Weekly in L.A.

EW's Los Angeles bureau is offering a full-time editorial internship starting mid-May. The position pays $10/hour and will last three months. You must be able to work at least 30 hours per week. In addition to office duties such as transcribing, interns will have the opportunity to write for the magazine and its website, EW.com. We're located at 11766 Wilshire Blvd., Los Angeles.
