Entry-level positions @ NewsHour with Jim Lehrer show

The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer, an evening TV program on PBS, seeks a desk assistants to help produce its show. The six-month entry-level positions provide practical experience in broadcast journalism. It is based in the Washington, D.C. area, pays $9 per hour and may include some overtime pay.

"The DAs are exposed to all aspects involved in producing a nightly television news program," the job ad says. "This position is divided into rotations among the different units that compose the NewsHour. The DAs also act as support staff for Senior Producers, Associate Producers and Reporters and Production Assistants."
