Paid internship to report on SF convention

Several undergraduate and/or graduate students are sought to work as reporters, digital photographers or web specialists for the print and online editions of a daily newspaper at the 2009 national conference of the American Association of School Administrators. The event is February19-21, 2009, at the Moscone Center in San Francisco.

Reporters will be assigned to cover speakers and panels on topics relating to school leadership and K-12 education. Those interested in digital photography will be assigned to shoot multiple events and candid scenes each day. Students with web posting experience will help with the newspaper’s electronic edition.

Interns will receive bylines or credit lines on their work. Each student who completes the 3½ -day internship will also get a $100 honorarium and a complimentary lunch each day. A complimentary dinner will be provided if evening hours are involved.

Candidates interested should send a cover letter describing relevant experiences and interests, contact information for at least two references, a resume and 2-3 published writing and/or photography samples by December 10, 2008, to jgoldman@aasa.org.
