Paid internships @ SF Weekly
SF Weekly, a free alternative 100,000-circulation newspaper in San Francisco, seeks interns for its Night & Day calendar section.
Initial responsibilities include database work, entering arts and culture events for our online listings (with some 250-word bylined pieces), followed by the opportunity to write bylined pieces on arts and culture events that will appear in the paper in the Night & Day section.
Students must be able to receive course credit. Writing assignments that appear in print issues will be paid at the newspaper's freelancer rates.
E-mail a short cover letter, resume, and clips (or a writing sample geared toward what SF Weekly covers) to: Michael Leaverton at Michael.leaverton@sfweekly.com. Or mail your application to: Michael Leaverton, Calendar Editor, SF Weekly, 185 Berry Street, Suite 3800
SF, CA 94107.
