Harrisburg Patriot-News seeks entry-level reporters
UPDATE: The editor says these positions are no longer available.
The Harrisburg Patriot-News, a 100,000-circulation daily newspaper in Pennsylvania's capital, seeks entry-level and young journalists for its new one-year reporting fellowships.
You will cover news in local communities and write for both the print and online edition.
The position pays $600 per week and includes paid vacation.
"These are excellent opportunities for recent college graduates or others relatively new to the industry," the advertisement states. "...Professional experience is not essential; we will consider candidates with significant experience on a college paper plus references. However, internships at a daily newspaper are a big plus."
Send resumes, references and any clips to Executive Editor David Newhouse at dnewhouse@patriot-news.com or 812 Market St., Harrisburg PA 17101.
