Part-time legal journalism job in New Haven

Courthouse News Service, a nationwide legal news service that law firms subscribe to, seeks a part-time reporter to cover civil courts of law in and around New Haven, Conn.

"A legal background is not required, but demonstrated interest and ability in writing or journalism is necessary," the ad states. "The job will entail going to state and federal courts in downtown New Haven five days per week to review new civil filings. About 15-20 hours per week will be required and some benefits are available."

E-mail a cover letter and resume in Word format, and attach 3-5 writing samples, to newjob6@courthousenews.com. Letters should be addressed to Editor Adam Angione.
