Entry-level sports reporter @ Michigan paper

The Alpena News, an 11,000-circulation daily newspaper in Northern Michigan, is seeking a sports writer.

"This is an entry-level position," the ad states. "The person we seek is enthusiastic about community journalism and connecting with the community they cover. This person will be responsible for game coverage, as well as enterprise reporting and feature writing; there is some photography involved. This position also requires some layout skills, so design and Quark experience is a plus."
