Publications intern @ Chicago Cubs

The Chicago Cubs are offering a full-time extended paid internship in their Publications and Creative Services Department.  


"The successful candidate will perform various tasks associated with producing the Cubs official publications and will be instrumental in helping to maintain the digital asset archive during the baseball season," the ad states. "Additional responsibilities will include posting line-ups and farm report recaps from media notes on Vine Line Blogs, proofreading editorial pages for all publications using AP style, coordinating scorecard information for each series, to catalog, inventory, review and re-organize digital files and various other miscellaneous responsibilities."

Applicants should have background in print journalism and/or sports information and thorough knowledge of baseball. Ability to speak Spanish is preferred, as is a degree in journalism, new media or photography. Availability must be full-time, Monday – Friday.  Some weekends required.  Time frame will be early March to October 2009.
