Religion reporter @ Roanoke Times

The Roanoke Times, a 90,000-circulation daily newspaper in Virginia, seeks a religion reporter.

Only a bachelor's degree and one year of experience or "equivalent" is required, so a master's degree student or undergrad with great internship experience may have a shot.

"This position is responsible for covering faith-related issues and news events in the community," the ad states. "The successful candidate will produce a mix of hard news and features; balancing daily, mid- and long-range coverage; including but certainly not limited to devising annual coverage of major religious holidays as well a weekly religion notes column. The flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends is important to this beat."
