NBC News is offering a one-year paid internship in its Washington, D.C. bureau.
"The goal is to give one graduating senior the opportunity to be mentored by seasoned NBC News staff members and truly experience a yearlong 'boot camp' in political journalism," the job posting states.
The "Tim Russert Fellowship" gives an entry-level journalist the opportunity to rotate throughout key areas of the bureau including assignments on “Meet the Press” and with the NBC News Political Unit. Responsibilities will include assisting on-air talent and producers, participating in news shoots, and story research.
NBC News plans to sponsor the Fellowship annually as a lasting tribute to Russert, a renowned political journalist who passed away last year.
