The Alternative Press, an all-online daily local newspaper in Northern Jersey, is hiring freelance reporters to cover government meetings, town events and sporting events in various communities.

"Since our launch on October 2, 2008, we have received well over 3,000,000 hits," the ad states. "We currently cover Summit, Livingston, Millburn, New Providence and Berkeley Heights and are expanding to Madison, Chatham and Westfield. Very flexible hours. Make your own schedule."

Writers are paid up to $50 per article.
