The Arlington (Va.) Catholic Herald, a 61,000-circulation weekly newspaper that covers the local Catholic community, seeks a full-time editorial assistant.

The entry-level position is based in Arlington, just across the Potomac River from Washington, D.C. Duties include copy editing, typesetting, proofreading, compiling calendar columns, coordinating column schedules, occasional layout, and writing as assigned.

"Good benefits, shuttle to Ballston Metro and free parking," the ad states. "Salary commensurate with experience."
