Paid internship @ China Daily's NYC bureau

China Daily, the self-proclaimed "only national English-language daily newspaper in China," seeks a paid intern for its newly-launched weekly U.S. edition.

The part-time position is based in Manhattan and pays $10 per hour. Interns can also receive college credit. Internship will last at least three months.

Duties include: Pitch story ideas to editorial staff; sit in on editorial meetings; write occasional articles for paper and website; attend newspaper's events; prepare articles for posting on website; research and format weekly event calendar for publication; oversee readers e-mail account; assist with other editorial/administrative tasks as needed.
