Paid summer internship for environmental reporting

The Great Lakes Echo, an environmental news website sponsored by Michigan State University's Knight Center for Environmental Journalism, is offering two paid reporting internships this summer. But hurry, the deadline is April 15.

Interns will be based at Michigan State, which is located in the state capital city of Lansing, and work 20 hours per week as reporters for the website. Work schedules are flexible. Applicants should have a record of previously published work. Multimedia experience is helpful but not required.

To apply, submit a one page resume, work samples (or links to them), a 100-word essay explaining why you're right for the job and three work or school references with contact information. Send materials to: Barb Miller, Knight Center for Environmental Journalism, 382 Communication Arts and Sciences, MSU, East Lansing, Michigan 48824-1212.

For more information, contact Knight Center Associate Director Dave Poulson at (517) 432-5417 or poulson[at]msu.edu.
