The Milpitas Post, a 20,000-circulation weekly newspaper located just outside San Jose, seeks a reporter who can do a little of everything: news reporting, sports reporting, editing and photography.
Full-time position pays $14 per hour start and includes benefits.
"Will cover evening school board meetings, high school sports, local profiles, general assignment, some crime stories," the ad states. "Position also assists editor with copy editing. Basic photography skills needed occasionally. Previous newspaper experience a plus. Bachelor's degree equivalent or higher in journalism or communication preferred."
