The Issaquah Reporter and Sammamish Reporter, two suburban Seattle weekly newspapers with a combined 32,000-circulation, seek a full-time reporter. Note: the deadline to apply is today.
"We are looking for a person who understands and is eager to cover community news, including council and school-district developments and general-assignment stories," the ad states. "The successful candidate will be expected to take photographs to illustrate their stories, so experience with a digital camera is required. Duties also include assisting with computerized page layout ... At least one year of previous newspaper reporting experience preferred."
