The Marysville Globe and Arlington Times, weekly newspapers located in northwest Washington state, seek a full-time news reporter.

"The ideal candidate understands the workings of a community newspaper and must have a journalism degree or equivalent experience, a reliable vehicle and a desire to excel in journalism," the ad states. "You will be required to cover local news and events and write penetrating features on topics as varied as the environment, business and health care."
