Freelancers @ Hoboken, NJ newspaper
The Hoboken Progress and Secaucus Progress, free weekly newspapers in Northern Jersey, are seeking freelancer reporters.
"The job entails attending council and school board meetings one or two nights a week and then submitting articles and pictures from the meetings," the ad states. "Reporters would also cover other noteworthy events in Hoboken and Secaucus."
Pay is $40 per story, or $50 if the story includes a picture they took. "There is the potential to make about $200 a week from writing four stories," the ad states. Prior newspaper experience is preferred but not necessary, but the ability to write well is essential.
