News apprenticeship program @ CBS
CBS's Philadelphia affiliate, KYW-TV, is offering a paid entry-level training program.
The News Apprenticeship Program "will expose candidates to the various disciplines within the Eyewitness News operation: broadcast journalism, multi-media content production, assignment desk, newscast writing/producing, promotion writing, and special projects," the ad states. "Apprentices will be working side by side with News Department professionals, learning their craft and gaining valuable experience and knowledge. We are seeking individuals who are looking to work 'behind the camera' with an ultimate goal to be part of a newsroom management team."
Each News Apprenticeship runs six-months and pays entry level hourly rate of pay. The station will also assist with finding apprentices a job after they complete the program.
