A few different types of journalism-related jobs are available in the Boston area:

• The Boston Courant, a weekly newspaper, seeks full-time reporter familiar with complex urban issues, particularly real estate development. Two years professional experience required. Must already reside in Boston area. E-mail resume and two news articles to djacobs@bostoncourant.com.

• The American Academy of Arts and Sciences has an entry-level editorial position in its Office of Publications. The position is based in Cambridge and primary responsibilities are: edit Academy publications, including the Bulletin, Daedalus, books, and an Occasional Paper series; edit grant proposals, reports, and correspondence; edit articles for the Academy website. • A chain of small, weekly newspapers in the Boston suburbs seeks paid freelancers to cover weeknight municipal government meetings in Melrose, Wakefield and Lynnfield.
