"This is an entry level position, best suited to recent college graduates or reporters at community weeklies look to move to a daily paper," the ad states. Candidates must possess good writing and reporting skills; must be able to develop and maintain coverage on their beat; and must be able to generate story ideas in addition to handling assignments. Photography and video skills are a plus, but not required."
