Legal journalism freelance writers

VerdictSearch, a subsidiary of legal publishing giant ALM, seeks a freelance reporters to cover civil court cases around the country. This is a home-based position that pays $40 to $50 per article.

"The ideal candidate possesses at least one year of experience at a daily or weekly print publication," the ad states. "You must have high-volume, professional experience producing source-based news articles. We’re looking for someone who knows his or her way and who can step right in and produce multiple polished articles per week. Knowledge of the law is helpful but not a necessity -- we can teach you anything you’ll need to know. However, an aggressive personality is a must -- the job requires a great deal of telephone work.
