The Ballston Journal, a weekly newspaper in the Albany, N.Y. area, seeks a reporter to cover the Town of Malta.

"Responsibilities include regular attendance at town meetings and researching and writing two to three stories per week," the ad states. "In addition, the reporter is expected to develop relationships within the community and have the ability to identify stories that have a meaningful impact on readers’ lives. Reporter should have knowledge of AP Style, be able to work under deadline pressure, and be comfortable writing hard news and feature articles. Social Media for news and/or business is a plus! Attendance at no less than one business networking mixer per month would also be expected."
