Entry-level reporter job @ Seattle area newspaper

Snoqualmie Valley Record, a weekly 13,000-circulation newspaper in Washington state, seeks a full-time Reporter.

"As a Reporter for the Valley Record, you will be expected to: Take photographs to illustrate your stories and be comfortable using a digital camera, Shoot and edit videos for the web, Blog, Twitter and manage the publication's Facebook account.," the ad states. "The most highly valued traits are: The ability to be dynamic and think outside the box, An analytical mind and inquisitiveness that enables you to extract and follow genuine news stories, Involvement with a wide range of local community groups, The ability to establish a rapport with the community and its leaders, Being a motivated, self-starter. Some evenings and occasional weekends required. At least one year of previous newspaper experience is a plus."
