Reporter job @ computer publication
Software Development Times, a twice-monthly newspaper for the software development industry, seeks a full-time reporter. Job is located in Long Island, near New York City. It pays in the mid 40s and offers health/dental/vision benefits, vacation, 4-week paid sabbatical every seven years and a 401(k) plan.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Reporting and following a beat; Proactively developing sources and contacts; Filing daily short-deadline news stories and blog posts; Writing long-lead analytical features; Assisting with team story development.
Candidates should have 2-5 years of news reporting, writing and editing experience, preferably covering the computer industry. There may be occasional travel to technology conferences and events in Manhattan and elsewhere in the U.S.
