The Manhattan Times, a weekly, bilingual (Spanish/English), community newspaper and Web site serving the Washington Heights and Inwood neighborhoods of Manhattan, seeks a reporter.
"Journalism experience and ability to write clean copy quickly is a priority," the ad states. "Expectation is 10-12 stories of various lengths every week, both assigned and self-generated. Must be fluent in English and Spanish; posses photography, Web and social networking skills; have a desire to be immersed in local issues; and welcome the opportunity to be a strong presence in the community."
