News 12 Networks is the country's first, largest, and most watched 24-hour local television news network. The Network is made up of 7 individual local news channels serving the areas of Long Island, New Jersey, Southwestern Connecticut, Westchester County, Hudson Valley, the Bronx, and Brooklyn. News 12 Networks, owned and operated by Cablevision Systems Corporation, is a cable exclusive service, reaching approximately 3.8 million households in the New York market.
News 12 Traffic & Weather is seeking the right individuals to gather traffic incident information, and create accurate, informative, visually interesting and well-presented traffic reports. Produce and present traffic reports with a clean, smooth delivery and an easy to understand and logically ordered presentation in a manner that is clear, relevant and meaningful to viewers of the News 12 Traffic & Weather Channel. Have a good working relationship with colleagues from News 12 Traffic & Weather and News 12 Networks and present traffic information across all platforms in a way that connects with viewers.
Ideal candidate should have at least two years experience in news or traffic incident reporting. Must have knowledge of the roadways in the New York tri-state area. Must have strong computer and graphic skills as well as excellent script writing, on-air performance, news judgment, and analytical abilities. Communication, interpersonal and leadership skills required. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred. Cablevision is an equal opportunity employer and drug-free workplace.
