Economics editor job @ CQ Roll Call

CQ-Roll Call Group seeks an experienced news editor to manage coverage of a broad range of economic and fiscal policy issues for CQ’s print and online publications. The economics policy editor supervises a team of five reporters responsible for coverage of breaking news and production of in-depth stories on budget and appropriations, tax policy, financial services legislation, trade issues and other economic issues. The editor will have a passion for policy – particularly budget and fiscal issues – and an understanding of Congress, a drive to move quickly on breaking news, and an ability to edit stories of all forms including breaking news, policy explainers and narrative magazine pieces. We are looking for someone with experience managing a team of reporters, the ability to juggle multiple responsibilities and an energetic and collaborative spirit. Reports to the deputy executive editor for CQ News.
