Legal journalism job in NYC
Courthouse News Service, a California-based legal wire service, is seeking a part-time reporter to cover civil court filings in Queens. A legal background is not required, but demonstrated interest and ability in writing or journalism is necessary. The job will entail visiting the Queens County Clerkâs Office in Jamaica 2-3 days per week to review new civil complaints, as well as filling in as a substitute for other New York City area reporters as needed. Competitive pay is offered for about 10-15 hours per week, and some benefits are available.
