Online college course in media law over winter break
During your college winter break, you can earn college credits studying media law -- all while relaxing at home or skiing on vacation. High school seniors looking to earn some college credits may also take the course.
I'm teaching an online course on Communication Law through Adelphi University, where I'm a professor. The 3-credit class features video lectures, interactive exercises and class discussions, all of which can be done through your computer. You never need to set foot in an actual classroom.
In the 3-week Media Law class, students learn about the First Amendment, free speech, copyright, libel, protecting confidential sources, getting government records, cyberspace issues and other media law issues from a lawyer and former journalist. The class will run from January 4 to January 23.
If you have questions or would like to enroll, please contact me at mark [at] cubreporters.org.
