The Star, a small daily newspaper in Shelby, North Carolina, seeks a news reporter.

Reporters shoot, edit and post videos, post and update stories on our website and send out breaking news alerts throughout the day. This beat is primarily county government but there are plenty of opportunities for enterprise, breaking news and crime reporting. Some rotating evenings and weekend hours required.
