Entry-level reporter job @ Maryland Gazette
The Maryland Gazette, a twice-weekly newspaper on the Chesapeake Bay which is closely allied with its sister daily, The (Annapolis) Capital, is seeking a reporter for one of its general assignment/community beats.
"We're looking for an aggressive reporter who is at home covering everything from education to crime, but one who doesn't think feature is a dirty word," the ad states. "We want someone who's innovative, insightful and dependable. On top of that, we want someone who realizes the importance of community to a community newspaper. The position is ideal for an entry-level reporter as a first job, or for someone with a few years of experience."
Send cover letter, resume and writing samples to: rhutzell@mdgazette.com (with Gazette staffer as the subject) or mail to Rick Hutzell, 2000 Capital Drive, Annapolis MD 21401
