Entry-level reporter @ Sacramento area newspaper

The Amador Ledger Dispatch, a weekly newspaper in the Sierra foothills near Sacramento, is hiring for the position of feature reporter. The position involves writing, editing, paginating, updating websites and other duties as assigned. Ideal candidate will have an eye for detail and be able to multitask. Candidates must be energetic and interested in writing about a broad range of subjects, including human interest and news stories. A passion for community journalism is a must. Some evening and weekend assignments may be involved. Experience or training preferred; experience with QuarkXPress a plus. Knowledge of AP Style is required.
