The Convington (Tenn.) Leader, a twice-weekly 22,000-circulation newspaper located 35 miles from Mmephis, is seeking a full-time, community-minded reporter/page designer.

As a staff writer, you will be responsible for various aspects in the product of our weekly editions, from managing community contributions and announcements to reporting on education, entertainment and local government and page production. Salary is $22,000 annually

The ideal candidate will have strength in writing and people skills; be dedicated to providing in-depth coverage of Tipton County; be able to work evenings and weekends covering local events and meetings; handle the demands of a busy schedule and meet deadlines; and demonstrate strong writing, organization, planning and communication skills in the workplace. Experience in photography and page design, especially with Adobe InDesign, a plus. Preference will be given to local candidates who meet these requirements.
