Entry-level reporter job @ Newsday
Newsday, one of the nation’s largest daily newspapers serving Long Island, has an opening for a two-year intern. This is a full-time entry-level position with benefits. The program emphasizes training and regular feedback to hone reporting, writing and multimedia skills. During the two years, you will work as a reporter handling a variety of assignments. You will have the opportunity to get good assignments and a good collection of clips.
Recent journalism school graduates are encouraged to apply. Candidates must have completed a graduate or undergraduate degree within one year of beginning the program and must have less than one year of professional experience as a reporter
The successful candidate must be able to write concisely on deadline and demonstrate an ability to develop story ideas. Previous academic or paid internships are required.
