Assistant editor job @ food publication in northern NJ

The Produce News, a national, bimonthly trade publication that covers the fresh fruit and vegetable industry, seeks a sharp individual to join the editorial department at our small, friendly office in Oradell, N.J.

Ideal candidate is a motivated quick-learner with strong writing and editing skills, the ability to interact with members of the trade in a professional manner, and working knowledge of QuarkXpress and Photoshop. Experience with digital publishing and content management systems a plus. Duties include editing and layout of special sections, writing news features and company profiles, and working on various digital products that we offer. Some travel required.
