Entry-level crime reporter job in Sacramento

Crime Beat News, an online news service that produces local and statewide crime news for various media outlets, seeks a reporter to cover crime in the Sacramento area, and to make as-needed morning stops at local law enforcement agencies. Part-time position pays $100 - $200 monthly.

Candidate must live within reasonable driving distance of Roseville, Citrus Heights and Sacramento, and have a phone that transmits pictures via e-mail. This job opportunity is for those interested in making extra money for part-time work, and for developing journalism/multimedia skills.

Necessary skills:
• Journalism experience / degree
• 21 and over
• Clear criminal history and background check
• Current valid driver's license
• Position requires morning until noon availability
• Provide proof of vehicle insurance
• Computer / Internet / Fax savvy
• Complete CA State W-9 form
• Must be reliable, professional and have the willingness to succeed.
