Journalism job covering professional baseball
There's a job opening for an editorial producer to write stories and produce content for Minor League Baseball's official website (MiLB.com), as well as all Minor League material on MLB.com.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for and knowledge of baseball, a journalism background, strong writing skills and some experience working for an online media outlet. This is a part-time position.
Primary responsibilities:
• Writing Minor League news stories in a tight, deadline-driven environment
• Writing headlines and captions
• Creating graphics and photos to accompany stories
Required skills:
• One year of journalism experience
• Bachelor's degree in journalism or similar field
• Strong writing and copy-editing skills
• Must know and understand baseball
• Experience with Photoshop and basic HTML
Job details:
• Part-time 30 hrs/wk
• Nights and weekends
• Located in New York City
