Reporter job @ Northern Virginia newspaper

Fauquier Times-Democrat, a 13,000-circulation twice weekly newspaper located about an hour from Washington, D.C., is seeking a full-time staff reporter.

The ideal candidate will value the role local news plays in the community and possess excellent interpersonal skills. Strong writing and reporting skills are essential, as well as a solid grasp of AP style. Newspaper experience required, as is the ability to meet deadlines and generate five to six stories per week. The reporter must be willing to attend evening community meetings and work occasionally on the weekend. Local candidates preferred.
