Openings at Santa Barbara newspaper

Santa Ynez Valley Journal, a 22,000 circulation weekly newspaper in Santa Barbara, Calif.'s wine country, has two openings:

1. COPY EDITOR: Experienced, part-time copy editor needed to work in the office. Candidates will be knowledgeable in proofing and copy editing using the AP stylebook. The candidates will have to meet deadlines. Candidates who live in Santa Ynez and the surrounding areas are best qualified.
2. REPORTER: Full-time reporter needed to cover local interest articles and possible reporting on local government meetings. The candidate will have strong writing and reporting skills, good knowledge of spelling, grammar and AP style editing. The ability to work within deadlines a must.
