$1,500 prizes for college and high school journalists

The Newspaper Guild awards a $500 prize for a high school student and a $1,500 prize for a college student in recognition of "reporting that promotes issues of importance to working people and that contributes to the pursuit of justice and fairness." The deadline for the David S. Barr Awards is the last Friday of January.
