Canadian newspaper offers jobs for foreign journalists
The Hamilton Spectator offers a paid one-year internship program for "journalists from other countries to gain experience in the Canadian media."
Two full-time positions are available annually at the daily newspaper, which is located 40 minutes from Toronto.
The program was created in 2003 by Managing Editor Jim Poling, who can be reached at jpoling[at]thespec.com. He works closely with the writers, acting as a mentor and helping them getting articles published.
