2-year training program @ London newspaper

News of the World, a 3.5 million circulation London-based newspaper published on Sundays, just created a new 2-year training program for a young journalist.

The "Robert Warren Scholarship" provides salary and covers all training expenses. Initially, you'll spend 19 weeks studying journalism in a postgraduate program at The Journalism Centre at Harlow College in Essex. In your free time, you'll help out at the paper, covering "everything from a Premiership match to major political and showbiz stories both in print and online."

Once your course is complete, you’ll work full-time at the paper and learn about every relevant department, including news, features, picture and sports desks, Fabulous magazine, the website, circulation, marketing, production and advertising departments. You may also spend time at the News of the World’s Scottish or Irish offices.

"Graduates from all backgrounds are encouraged to apply." You must have either a bachelor's degree or be in your final year of completing one.

Application deadline is May 8.
