Paid internships @ Denver magazine

5280, a 70,000-circulation monthly magazine that covers all things Denver, offers year-round paid internships in print and online. (In case you're wondering, the magazine derives its unusual name from Denver's elevation of 5,280 feet above sea level.)

Interns write stories, research and fact-check. "Both internships are very hands-on and offer lots of staff interaction," states the magazine's website.

Both part- and full-time internships are available. Deadlines for applications: Summer (March 15); Fall (July 15); Spring (November 15).

E-mail a cover letter, resume, and three to five published clips to editinternships@5280.com. In the subject line, designate the internship to which you are applying by writing "Print Internship" or "Web Internship."
