Sports reporter @ Cape Cod Times

The Cape Cod Times, a 50,000-circulation daily newspaper serving Cape Cod, Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket, seeks a reporter/copy editor for its Sports Desk.

The ad seems to emphasize attributes like "energy" and "passion" and doesn't mention experience, so perhaps they'll consider a young journalist.

Work shift is at night. Duties include: editing local and wire copy, collecting results and information from local sports events and writing stories. In addition, you'll assist the online sports supervisor to keep sports Web site current and lively. And you'll do some sports copy editing and headline writing.
