Paid internship @ Wisconsin newspaper

The Racine (Wisc.) Journal Times, a 29,000-circulation daily newspaper located on the shore of Lake Michigan, is offering a paid summer internship.

The full-time internship runs 12 weeks and pays $10 per hour. Interns get treated like a regular reporter.

"Our interns do not get coffee, unless they want a cup," the ad states. "You will be working as a newspaper reporter, covering Racine County. You will receive intensive on-the-job training. This is an opportunity for you to learn a lot, accumulate plenty of bylines, work and have fun. "

Ideal applicants will be entering their senior year in college with a minimum g.p.a. of 3.25 and writing experience at a college newspaper or other publication, the ad says. Local knowledge of the Wisconsin/Illinois region is preferred.
