Paid summer internship @ Slate
Slate, a popular online magazine that covers current affairs and culture, is offering a paid summer internship in its Washington, D.C. newsroom.
The full-time internships runs 8 weeks between May and September. Duties include: write for Slate's regular columns, such as "Explainer" and "Did You See This?"; help writers and editors with research project; assist producers to Slate V, the video site; help out with nominal administrative duties; pitch story ideas.
By March 16, send a resume, three clips (published articles, blog entries, and classroom assignments all acceptable), and a short critique of a recent story that's appeared in Slate. E-mail only: keep messages under 200 KB, and no PDF files. Send e-mail to dcoffice@slate.com.
