American Salon, a 123,000-circulation magazine that covers hairdressers and beauty salon owners, is offering a full-time paid internship in its New York office.

Internship starts immediately and runs through mid-December. Intern will write, proofread and perform administrative tasks.

"Candidates must have good writing and copyediting skills, as this is a writing-intensive position," the ad states. "They should also be independent workers, organized and able to multitask. InDesign experience is a plus."
