Reporter-researcher job @ Newsweek

Newsweek, a 2.6 million-circulation news magazine, seeks a temporary researcher/reporter. The full-time position is based in New York.

Duties include: liaise with Editors and attend daily editorial meetings in preparation for writing daily, weekly and future story lists; monitor rights information for guest writers; as well as perform other duties as assigned.

"The ideal candidate should have prior news magazine or newspaper experience," the ad states. "S/he should have excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills. The ideal candidate should have a deep knowledge of domestic and international affairs. S/he should have working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook, internet browsers and some experience with database software; experience with InDesign/InCopy is a plus."
